About us  

Legal Aid NSW provides legal support in criminal, family, and civil law. We offer advice, court assistance, and family dispute resolution by phone or at our 28 offices.   

 


About the role
 

 

You will support and advise the Solicitor-In-Charge (SIC) in operational matters to ensure the effective delivery of client services within a multi-disciplined and complex legal environment. 

You will manage and coordinate the administration team in a medium-sized regional office to ensure client service activities are resourced and achieved. 

 
 


About you
 

 

You will have extensive experience working in a busy and demanding environment, meeting tight deadlines, working collaboratively and managing conflicting priorities effectively. 

You will possess strong leadership skills and have the ability to demonstrate interpersonal skills to support the Solicitor in Charge to ensure the requirements of the role are met. 

Ideally, you will be someone who considers themselves to be highly organised and systematic in their approach to work. You will be proactive and enthusiastic about taking on varied tasks, in addition to being reliable and transparent in all aspects of your work. 

You will be passionate about leading a team to provide a high standard of client centred services, whilst also identifying and supporting the varied learning and development needs and goals of the team. 

 
 


About working in Albury
 

The Albury office of Legal Aid is located in downtown Albury. The office is a busy mixed practice including specialist services which provides legal services to vulnerable people in Albury and surrounding towns. Albury is a thriving regional centre sitting on the northern bank of the Murray River. Albury is an agricultural and transport hub. Albury has an abundance of parkland including its botanic gardens and recreational facilities along the meandering course of the Murray River. The essential requirements for this role
 

 

You must:  

  • be willing to do a Criminal Record Check
  • hold Australian or NZ citizenship, Australian Permanent Residency (for ongoing vacancies) or a valid visa to work in Australia (for temporary vacancies)
