About us 

Legal Aid NSW helps people with their legal problems. We can help people with most criminal law, family law and every day civil law legal issues. We give legal advice, help at court and do family dispute resolution.  

The Orange Legal Aid office is a busy mixed practice, with criminal, family and civil lawyers, as well as specialist services. We provide legal services to disadvantaged people in Orange and surrounding towns in the central tablelands, including Bathurst, Lithgow, Cowra, Parkes and Forbes.  

Orange is a thriving regional centre, home to acclaimed restaurants and wineries, parks and gardens, with quality local music and art scenes, and near quaint heritage villages to explore.   

 

About the role 

We have an exciting opportunity for an ongoing Legal and Client Support Officer, Clerk Grade 3/4 to join our vibrant administration division at the Orange Legal Aid office.   

As the first point of contact, you'll engage with clients facing complex legal and non-legal challenges, providing essential information and coordinating the support they need. Your role is crucial in ensuring our clients receive the best possible outcomes while offering clerical and legal administrative support to our dedicated legal teams.

 The essential requirements for this role 

 You must:  

  • be willing to do a Criminal Record Check   

  • hold Australian or NZ citizenship, Australian Permanent Residency (for ongoing vacancies) or a valid visa to work in Australia (for temporary vacancies)  

  • live in NSW or willing to relocate to NSW
