  • Ongoing Full-Time role with negotiable location across NSW Legal Aid Office locations. Occasional travel to Head Office in Sydney will be required.

About us 

 

Legal Aid NSW helps people with their legal problems. We can help people with most areas criminal law, family law and every day civil law legal issues. We give legal advice, help at court and do family dispute resolution. We can do this over the telephone or at one of our 28 offices. 

 


About the role 

 

Deliver a broad range of executive, secretarial, and high-level administrative support services to the Project Officer and Associate Directors, enabling effective business operations and contributing to the Regional Senior Leadership Team’s achievement of organisational goals. 

 
 

About you 

 

You are a highly organised and solutions-focused Executive Assistant with a keen eye for details and a passion for supporting project delivery. You excel at managing complex calendars, coordinating meetings with a range of stakeholder and ensuring all logistics run smoothly, from diary and travel management to preparing minutes and tracking follow-up actions. 

You’re confident in handling high-level correspondence, submissions and briefs and you understand the importance of discretion and clear communication. 

With a strong sense of initiative, you can manage competing priorities, resolve issues as they arise and support timely, informed decision making through accurate reporting and briefing materials.   

Your ability to build strong working relationships, anticipate needs and stay one step ahead, makes you a reliable and valued support to the Project Officer and wider team.  

 

We may use this recruitment to create a talent pool for similar ongoing or temporary vacancies we have over the next 18 months.

The essential requirements for this role 


You must:
 

  • be willing to do a Criminal Record Check  

  • hold Australian or NZ citizenship, Australian Permanent Residency (for ongoing vacancies) or a valid visa to work in Australia (for temporary vacancies) 

  • live in NSW or willing to relocate to NSW 

  • Be high proficiency with MS Office Suite 

  • Possess strong organisational and time management skills  

  • Have demonstrated discretion with confidential and sensitive information
