Salary: Clerk Grade 7/8, $110,266 to $122,058 pa plus employer’s contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading

Your role
The Maintenance Coordinator is responsible for delivering quality and timely facilities maintenance services to the Departments assets and stakeholders to ensure fit for purpose, value for money outsourced facilities maintenance meets contracted organisational, public sector and legislative requirements within Correctional Centre’s, Youth Justice Centre and Courts.
What you’ll do
As part of the Facilities Maintenance team, the Maintenance Coordinator will assist with the day to day management of facilities maintenance services within Departments portfolio in conjunction with our facilities management service providers to provide safe and functional facilities for the Department of Communities and Justice staff, occupants and general public. You will also be responsible for managing stakeholder relationships within your defined geographical region to maintain ongoing levels of engagement and support.
Duties include but not limited to, stakeholder engagement, site visits, property audits, reviewing & approving quotes, oversight of contract requirement ensuring service delivery outcomes, property insurance claims, financial review of costs, analysing data and performance within portals, attending operational meetings.
The role will require extensive travel on the road through Regional NSW and overnight stays will be required.
Flexible and agile working conditions and no two days can look the same.
The facilities maintenance team work collaboratively across the portfolios and regions. A friendly, dedicated & hard working team who strive for the best outcomes for their sites and stakeholders. The role is demanding, multi-facet with competing priorities.
The team is aligned, work well together, enjoys a laugh and bouncing ideas at each other.
Essential requirements of the role
- Relevant qualifications in Facilities Contract Management, Property, or equivalent industry experience.
- Current and valid Driver’s licence, as it is a requirement of this role to travel to multiple locations across NSW by car and overnight stays will be required.
Appointments are subject to reference checks. Some roles may also require the following checks/ clearances:
- National Criminal History Record Check
What we’re looking for
In addition to meeting the essential requirements, the successful candidate will have:
- Experience in the coordination and delivery of maintenance activities
- Experience with managing services contracts
- Managing competing priorities and high volumes of work effectively within tight timeframes and budget
- Strong facilities maintenance experience managing the delivery of asset maintenance
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively to multiple stakeholders to ensure timely resolution of maintenance issues
- Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint. MS Teams
- Experience in customer service /coordination roles in a related industry
- Understanding of statutory maintenance requirements, legislation, reactive maintenance, Planned Preventative, Major Periodic Maintenance and maintenance prioritisation.
Someone who can hit the ground running, who’s driven as drive and passion about maintenance & service delivery, present confidently to stakeholders, works well in a team and also independently.
Confident in own ability driving, staying at accommodation and being out in the field/region.
