- Location – Parramatta with flexible working arrangements available
- Employment type – Ongoing position – Full time (35 hours)
- Salary – Clerk Grade 11/12, Base Salary ($145,378 – $168,130), plus employer’s contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading
Your role
This is a key leadership role within the Division Support and Public Accountability team, where you will manage and coordinate complex projects, ensuring they meet timelines and budgets. You will lead a team, with expert demonstrated strong people leadership skills, foster stakeholder relationships, and guide the strategic direction of the business unit. This is a great opportunity for a candidate who wants to drive transformational change, improve business processes, and contribute to the delivery of key outcomes for public accountability within the Department of Communities and Justice.
What you’ll do
As part of the Division Support and Public Accountability team, you will lead and coordinate complex projects, manage resources, budgets, and assets, and ensure successful delivery of initiatives aligned with DCJ’s strategic goals. You will provide operational direction and leadership to your team, ensuring an outcome-oriented, collaborative and learning culture.
You will also:
- Provide proactive, evidence-based advice to senior leadership, supporting decision-making processes.
- Manage key internal and external stakeholder relationships, ensuring effective program development and policy implementation.
- Lead and drive team management, work planning, coaching, and professional development initiatives.
- Identify opportunities to improve business processes and workflows in collaboration with stakeholders.
- Ensure cost-effective use of resources while maintaining effective operations.
- Work as part of a collaborative, fast-paced environment with a focus on achieving the department’s strategic priorities and promoting public accountability.
What we’re looking for
Tertiary qualifications in a related discipline and/or equivalent knowledge, skills and experience with demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development.
Appointments are subject to reference checks. Some roles may also require the following checks/ clearances:
- National Criminal History Record Check in accordance with the Disability Inclusion Act 2014
- Working with Children Check clearance in accordance with the Child Protection (Working with Children) Act 2012
