Salary: $149,391.00 pa - $166,312.00 pa + Superannuation and Leave Loading
Your role:
As CSI Business Manager Operations, you will review and develop the commercial viability of CSI Business Units. Provide strategic operational advice for business improvement optimising CSI industry/inmate employment. You will seek and develop new business that supports CSI operations.
What you’ll do:
CSI is the commercial arm of Corrective Services New South Wales (CSNSW). CSI provides inmates in correctional centres with access to employment, vocational training, and education to improve their employment opportunities when they are released from custody. Employment is a proven factor in contributing to a reduction in the risk of re-offending.
We are looking for an energetic, flexible, and motivated person to fill the role of Business Manager Operations- the CSI Corporate Office at Francis Greenway Correctional Complex.
You will be responsible for governing from a central / industry sector perspective, CSI Business Units and Service Industries ensuring that the outcomes are aligned with or exceed the business plan and operations are carried out optimally and within assigned budgets and resources.
Essential Requirements
- Current Certificate III in Correctional Practice or capacity to complete certificate III in Correctional Practice in accordance with specified CSNSW timeframes
- Current NSW Driver Licence and preparedness to drive a vehicle in the course of performing duties.
- Expertise in developing business opportunities.
- Management Qualification desirable but not essential
Experience Required:
Relevant experience to meet Essential Requirements and the Key Accountabilities and Focus Capabilities of the role.
Demonstrated proficiency in:
- Develop new business and markets that support inmate employment and other operational teams.
- Provide leadership and provision of business technical operational and strategic advice in a coordinated manner to the Print Division
- Provide recommendations regarding resource priorities and allocations.
- Consult with senior management on substantial decisions, controversies, or sensitive matters.
- Demonstrate understanding of Quality Management Systems.
- Manage commercial contracts across industry areas.
- High level communication skills, including verbal and written.
- Able to interpret drawings and specifications.
- Commitment to Customer Services
- Ability to advise and liaise with customers.
- The use of Business Management Systems and/or Inventory Control Systems E.g. Pronto.
