Salary – $120,859.00 -$133,183 pa + Superannuation + Leave Loading
Your Role
Corrective Services is currently seeking a motivated and strategic minded Senior Project Officer to work within the Construction division of the Corrective Services Industries team at the Francis Greenway Correctional Complex.
What you’ll do
As the successful applicant for this Senior Project Officer role, you will be required to manage and overseer all parts of the project from scheduling and development to budgeting, coordinating resources, support project related activities and meeting all project requirements by meeting timelines and budgets.
As part of this role, you will be required to travel between the Windsor and Haymarket offices as part of this role.
The successful applicant will:
- Develop CSNSW infrastructure project schedules including defining project tasks, estimating resources needed, creating a timeline to track project progress, identify potential delays, and work with stakeholders to ensure that projects remain within scope.
- Establish and maintain stakeholder relationships through effective communication, negotiation and issues management to engage stakeholders and ensure project deliverables are met.
- Undertake research and formulate recommendations to support evidence-based project planning and decision making
- Provide advice and information to project managers on emerging project financial issues and to support project development and delivery in line with established plans, budgets, timeframes, policy objectives and other project and priorities
- Monitor and evaluate all aspects of construction projects across the Infrastructure and Capacity Planning unit, including risk and contingency management, address project resource issues, and assess project progress and effectiveness to ensure project outcomes are achieved.
What we’re looking for
The successful candidate will have:
- Proven recent post trade experience managing projects in the construction industry.
- Experience in project administration and project handover documentation
- Ability and willingness to develop training and programs for low skilled workforces.
- Experience which demonstrates the ability to meet the key accountabilities and focus capabilities as detailed in the role description
