Your role

 

The Superintendent is responsible for providing high level operational, strategic advice and support to the Assistant Commissioner Work & Education.  

 

What we’re looking for

 

Essential requirements of this role include:
 

  • Proven ability to meet the Key Accountabilities and Focus Capabilities outlined in the Role Description
  • Proven experience in managing large manufacturing or serviced based operations and a detailed understanding of Quality Management and Work Health & Safety
  • Demonstrated experience in leadership, performance and operational management
  • Current Certificate III in Correctional Practice or capacity to complete Certificate III in Correctional Practice in accordance within specified CSNSW timeframes
  • A qualification in either Business, Leadership, Management or other relevant qualification
  • Current Driver Licence with the ability and willingness to drive throughout New South Wales

 

The successful applicant will be required to demonstrate the ability to:
 

  • Undertake and manage special projects and strategic audits of complex systems, operations and processes, and provide sound operational support and recommendations to Senior Management.
  • Identify, manage, and solve complex production related issues
  • Participate in the development and monitoring of the implementation of action plans in consultation with senior management to ensure efficient follow up of matters
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of programs and practices to promote community awareness and understanding of Work and Education operations
  • Research and examine critical and emerging correctional and industries issues and contribute to the development and establishment of new business initiatives
  • Mentor and provide managerial support to staff as part of the succession planning process
