Employment Type – Ongoing, Full Time
Salary – $88,178 pa + Incidental Allowance + Superannuation + Leave Loading
Your Role
We are currently sourcing a trade qualified candidate for the Ground Maintenance/ Hygiene Overseer position at Cooma Correctional Centre. As part of this role you must have experience in most of the following trades – Horticulture, Landscaping (Parks and Gardens), Asset/Vehicle Maintenance and/or Cleaning Operations.
As the standout candidate for this role, you will have outstanding communication skills, a positive attitude, strong work ethics and integrity in line with CSI core values to train and supervise inmates, Quality control / inspection responsibilities and ensuring compliance. You are also required to have good computer knowledge, show strong resilience and have robust time management skills.
What we’re looking for
As a standout candidate you will have:
- Proven trade experience
- Willingness to work across varying trades and ability to multitask to achieve operational goals
- The successful candidate will be paid to undertake Primary Training for Certificate III in Correctional Practice
Essential Requirements
- Current Certificate III in any of the following: Horticulture, Landscaping (Parks and Gardens), Asset/Vehicle Maintenance and/or Cleaning Operations.
- Current Certificate III in Correctional Practice or capacity to complete within specified timeframes
- Current NSW Driver Licence and preparedness to drive to locations as required
- General understanding of capabilities around the use of computers and electronic platforms to access relevant departmental programmes and applications
