Employment type – Temporary Appointment (12 months)

Clerk grade 5/6. Salary – $99,938 - $110, 270 plus employer’s superannuation and annual leave loading

Corrective Services NSW Academy is seeking a dedicated First Aid Training Officer to join our team!

 

Your role

 

In this role, you will deliver First Aid courses and refresher workshops, ensuring staff learn the skills they need to respond in medical emergencies.

 

What you will do

 

As part of the Corrective Services NSW Academy team, you will help organise training activities and support the smooth running of the Academy. You will also assist with admin tasks like data entry, reports, and emails.

 

You will guide participants through their training, making sure they understand the material and meet the required standards. You will keep accurate records of all training sessions and make sure all equipment and resources are ready to go.

 

This role involves working with a range of people, so you will need to provide great service and communicate professionally with both staff and external partners. You will also be expected to follow all workplace policies and help create a respectful and inclusive environment.

 

 

What we are looking for

 

  • Current First Aid Certificate(s)
  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116 or equivalent)
  • Relevant qualifications and vocational experience in training delivery
  • Statewide travel to CSNSW locations is an essential part of the role
  • A current NSW Driver Licence and to travel as required
  • Demonstrated experience working across diverse teams and operational environments, with a strong commitment to compliance with national Registered Training Organisation (RTO) standards
  • Excellent communication skills and a proven commitment to foster a safe, inclusive, and respectful workplace
