Your role

As a Services and Programs Team Leader, you’ll coordinate and deliver offender programs while providing professional supervision and support to a team of Services and Programs Officers. You’ll play a critical role in ensuring high-quality service delivery that supports rehabilitation and reintegration efforts.

  

What you’ll do

 

As a Team Leader in Services and Programs, you’ll oversee the delivery of therapeutic programs and case management for offenders with severe substance use disorders. Your responsibilities will include:

 

  • Lead and Supervise: Oversee a team of Services and Programs Officers, ensuring professional development, compliance with policies, and effective service delivery.
  • Coordinate Services: Plan, monitor, and deliver accredited and approved programs to meet program delivery targets.
  • Ensure Quality: Review and approve reports provided to courts, the State Parole Authority, and other statutory bodies, ensuring accuracy and alignment with prescribed standards.
  • Develop Staff: Mentor team members, support their professional development through Performance Development Plans (PDP), and manage day-to-day operations.
  • Deliver Programs: Facilitate group-based behavioural change programs that address the underlying causes of offending.

 

What we’re looking for

  • Possesses broad knowledge of contemporary correctional programs and practices.
  • Has experience facilitating group-based behavioural change programs.
  • Can balance leadership responsibilities with program delivery effectively.
  • Demonstrates strong time management, resilience, and attention to detail.
  • Shows a commitment to reducing reoffending and achieving positive outcomes for individuals.

Essential Requirements

  • Qualifications: Tertiary qualifications in a behavioural science or related field, or equivalent proven experience.
  • Experience: Demonstrated expertise in facilitating group-based programs and leading teams.
  • Licence: A current driver’s licence and willingness to travel across NSW.
