Salary - $91,705 pa + Incidental Allowance + Superannuation + Leave Loading
Your role
Corrective Services Industries is currently seeking a qualified tradesperson for the Overseer HVAC role at Junee Correctional Centre.
As the standout candidate for this role, you will need robust communication skills, a positive attitude, strong work ethics and integrity in line with CSI core values to train and supervise inmates, quality control / inspection responsibilities and ensuring compliance.
As part of this role, the duties include however are not limited to:
- Supervise and train inmates to develop their work skills in order to enhance their post-release employment opportunities, thereby reducing their risk of re-offending.
- Contribute to the business unit operations through the delivery of work related inmate training
- Provide detailed input to case management reporting through the Work Readiness Program.
- Create and maintain a safe working environment for staff, contractors, inmates and visitors to comply with Work Health & Safety legislation.
What you’ll do
As a standout candidate you will have:
- Experience with any of the following: Air Conditioning and/or Refrigeration
- The successful candidate will be paid to undertake Primary Training for Certificate III in Correctional Practice
What we’re looking for
- Current Certificate III or higher in Relevant trade or tertiary qualifications (minimum Certificate III level) in any of the following: Air Conditioning and Refrigeration or similar related trades
- Must Possess Trade qualifications and hold a current NSW Fair Trading Airconditioning and Refrigeration Contractor Licence or Qualified Supervisors Certificate
- Current NSW Drivers Licence and preparedness to drive to locations as required
