Services and Programs Officer 

  • Location – Junee Correctional Centre 

  • Employment type – 10 X Ongoing Opportunities both Part-Time & Full-Time positions Available 

  • Salary – Clerk Grade 5/6. $93,295 - $102,941pa plus employer's contribution to superannuation, annual leave loading and environmental allowance

Your role  
 

You’ll be instrumental in shaping futures by providing vital services such as assessment, case planning, and crisis support interventions for offenders and remandees.  

Your role will help ensure their safe, secure, and humane management in a correctional centre while working to reduce re-offending.  
 

Additionally, you’ll lead engaging, accredited group programs both within correctional centres and in community settings, supporting offenders on their journey towards transformation.

What you’ll do  
 

  • Manage intake screening, induction, assessment, support, and case management, including detailed reporting 

  • Deliver accredited or approved group programs, health promotion, and harm reduction strategies for offenders, along with individual interventions 

  • Handle crisis situations, assist with pre-release planning, and maintain thorough documentation in accordance with Offender Integrated Management System (OIMS) standards. 
     

What we’re looking for  
 

  • A proactive and dedicated individual with a background in social work or experience working with individuals exhibiting challenging behaviours 

  • Someone with a positive mindset who is naturally resilient and able to build strong, constructive relationships within a multidisciplinary team setting.
