Coroner (non Magistrate) Local Court Coronial Jurisdiction

The Attorney General is seeking applications from persons qualified for appointment to the role of (non-magistrate) coroner under section 12 of the Coroners Act 2009.
The role is a statutory appointment, appointed by the Governor of NSW (on the recommendation of the Attorney General).
The appointment will be for a period of up to 18 months.
The role will involve working in the coronial jurisdiction of the NSW Local Court and assist the NSW State Coroner ensure that the functions and caseload of the jurisdiction are attended to as expeditiously as possible.
To be qualified for appointment an applicants must be an Australian lawyer. Applicants should be able to demonstrate appropriate legal qualifications and experience, preferably in practice in the coronial jurisdiction.
In addition, all applicants should address the list of personal and professional qualities listed below as part of their application.
