About the NSW Reconstruction Authority

The NSW Reconstruction Authority (the Authority) is a statutory corporation within the Planning & Environment cluster. The Authority will improve how NSW plans for disasters and make sure that communities across the state recover from them faster.

 

The Authority will complete critical planning and preparation to reduce the severity and impacts of disasters and will start recovery swiftly and coordinate reconstruction efforts when disasters occur.

 

About the role

This is an exciting opportunity to support the delivery of one or more land and housing development projects, including due diligence, acquisition, master planning, development approval, construction, sales, marketing and financial control.

 

In this role you will:

  • Manage and oversee all aspects of project planning, development and implementation, particularly relating to the implementation of priority projects under the Resilient Lands Program, including the Resilient Lands Strategy
  • Establish and maintain stakeholder relationships through effective communication, negotiation and issues management
  • Monitor and evaluate all aspects of project implementation, including risk and contingency management
  • Manage service providers, ensuring compliance with governance and quality requirements

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and complex government environment
  • Strong communications skills who can interact with internal and external stakeholders
  • Ability to manage multiple and competing priorities and tasks.
  • High level of autonomy and is accountable for the delivery of work assignments and projects on time, and to expectations in terms of quality, deliverables and outcomes.
  • Acts independently to determine day-to-day priorities, negotiate matters related to area of responsibility and makes decisions in relation to the quality of work outcomes.
