Employment type – Ongoing (Full Time)

Clerk grade 5/6. Salary $99,938 - $110, 270 plus employer’s superannuation and annual leave loading.

Your role

 

As a Case Management Officer, you will work directly with inmates in a custodial setting to support their rehabilitation and reduce reoffending. You’ll develop and implement person-centred case plans using evidence-based assessments and motivational interviewing techniques, helping individuals engage in meaningful behaviour change.

 

By collaborating closely with Senior Case Management Officers and other stakeholders, you’ll ensure high-quality, responsive case management services that adapt to changing needs.

 

Successful applicants will be required to complete the following provided training: 

 

  • Attend operational training and attain Certificate IV in Correctional Practice in line with agency timeframes and/or requirements.
  • Critical training in security, work safe procedures and other role specific training. 

 

 

What we’re looking for

 

  • Experience and/or relevant qualifications in case management, human services, or related fields
  • Experience working with individuals from diverse backgrounds who may be facing complex challenges, including family, social, or drug and alcohol-related issues
  • Strong organisational and self-management skills, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Resilience and emotional intelligence to confidently navigate complex and sensitive situations within a custodial environment
  • Excellent communication and written skills, with the motivation to make a genuine difference in people’s lives
