Salary - $97,295 - $102,941 pa plus superannuation and employer’s contribution to leave loading
Your role
At Community Corrections, we aim to reduce the impact of crime on the community by effectively case managing offenders to achieve reintegration and successful order completion. Orange & Forbes is renowned for its thriving economy, a heartland for agriculture, including impeccable fresh produce and livestock production thanks to rich, red and fertile soils. We’re excited to welcome motivated Community Corrections Officers with cultural knowledge and experience who can help make this happen. As a Community Corrections Officer, you will help us make a difference to improve offender lives and work on what really matters.
Successful candidates will be required to complete a mandatory four-week, in-person, paid training program at our Brush Farm Academy, which is a key component of the Certificate IV in Correctional Practice curriculum.
What you’ll do
- Individuals committed to upholding our values and behaviours, with a strong focus on ensuring community safety.
- A dedication to fostering positive relationships between Communities and Justice, with particular emphasis on supporting the local Aboriginal and CALD community.
- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to maintain confidentiality and demonstrate integrity in all interactions.
- Experience in case management, along with high resilience, strong motivation, and a proactive, positive attitude.
- Ability to thrive in a challenging environment while applying cultural sensitivity and awareness.
- Develop and implement effective strategies while demonstrating decisiveness in managing emotionally charged situations and addressing complex issues.

We do work that really matters
Corrective Services NSW (CSNSW) delivers professional correctional services and programs to reduce reoffending and create safer communities. We house remand and sentenced inmates in correctional centres and supervise offenders serving orders in the community.
CSNSW provides reports and advice to courts and releasing/parole authorities and assesses offenders in the community and in custody for relevant interventions to reduce their risks of reoffending. CSNSW works in partnership with other government and non-government justice and human services agencies to support victims, facilitate restorative justice and promote reintegration.
