Assistant Project Officer, Program and Partnerships
Location: Parramatta (hybrid Parramatta office and work from home)
Employment type: Temporary Full Time up to 30 June 2027
Salary: $97,027 to $107,059 pa, plus employer’s contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading
Your role
Reporting to the Senior Manager, the Assistant Project Officer is a valuable member of the team, supporting key project support activities to enable the successful delivery of departmental projects supporting our frontline services in Child Protection, Homes NSW, Youth Justice and Community Corrections and maintenance of our Disability Group Homes portfolio.
What you’ll do
As part of the Program and Partnerships Team within, Infrastructure and Assets, you will be responsible for, but not limited to:
- Secretariat and preparing of papers, management of actions and decisions for our working groups and governance meetings
- Supporting data capture, analysis and validation of relocation information throughout the project lifecycle
- Event planning and management of opening events, including preparing suppliers, speaking notes, co-ordinating dignitaries, catering, AV equipment, plaques and smoking ceremony
- This role is expected to travel to support on site activities with our clients across NSW.
- Identifying and sharing opportunities for strategic storytelling on key initiatives of Executive/Secretary/Ministerial interest

What we’re looking for
Our ideal candidate will have previous experience in a project delivery role, managing and engaging with stakeholders and co-ordinating governance and/or compliance.
Previous experience in event management or corporate communications would be desirable but not essential. Some regional travel will be required at times to support project activities.
