Associate Director Operations – Language Services
- Location – Parramatta
- Employment type: Temporary full-time up to 30 June 2026
- Grade: 11/12
- Salary: $145,378 - $168,130 pa plus employer contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading.
Your role
The Associate Director Operations is a critical service delivery role in the Language Services team that leads the delivery of operational services. This role with the support of a strong senior leadership team, leads the transformation, transition and implementation of the existing service model to the future service model, including the introduction of digital services, integration of services and quality service standards to ensure optimal service delivery.
What you’ll do
The role operates as a change agent across Language Services, guiding and directing an operational team, onboarding new clients and services, focusing on growing the maturity level within the branch, ensuring the identification, development and implementation of both existing and new revenue opportunities, and improving access to service delivery through more user-friendly systems and processes.
What we’re looking for
- An operational leader who has the strategic knowledge and understanding of the principles of multiculturalism and a commitment to the provision of language services.
- Significant experience in managing the operations and delivery of services. In the translating and interpreting services would be an advantage.
- Sound experience in external stakeholder management and service performance analysis.
- Strong business acumen, critical thinking skills and experience in continuing process improvement.
- Demonstrated experience in effectively leading, coaching and managing teams. Sound networking, conflict resolution and relationship building skills.
In addition to meeting the essential requirements for this role the successful candidate will also demonstrate
- Highly developed problem-solving skills with an understanding of complex and diverse environments.
- The ability to respond quickly when situations change, while continuing to effectively engage stakeholders to ensure excellence in service delivery and customer engagement.
- The ability to switch between operational and strategic management styles as needed to optimise business outcomes for all.
- The ability to achieve results through the efficient use of resources and a commitment to quality outcomes.
