  • Principal location – Parramatta - Flexible working arrangements may be negotiated.
  • Employment type – Ongoing positions X 2 – Full time (35 hours per week)
  • Salary – Clerk Grade 3/4, Base Salary ($82,193 – $90,001), plus employer’s contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading

Looking for your next career move? Our Legal Operations team is hiring two Business Support Officers. This exciting opportunity offers a unique opportunity to provide high-level administrative support. As key contributors to the team, you will provide administrative and support services to facilitate information engagement and executive support functions to DCJ Legal. This position allows for professional growth in a dynamic environment, where attention to detail and effective communication is valued.  

 

What you’ll do

 

You will perform a range of administrative duties to support senior management and ensure the effective operation of the unit. You will utilise your organisational and communicative skills with various stakeholders to contribute towards facilitating the operation of DCJ Legal.  

  

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Monitor mailboxes with the responsibility to respond to enquiries within the department and from members of the public  
  • Scheduling and facilitation of meeting rooms/spaces for training/events 
  • Responsibility in preparing a monthly newsletter circulated to DCJ Legal  
  • Monitor a number of registers ensuring these are up to date  
  • Involvement in induction and onboarding support to new starters  
  • Assist the team to maintain policies and procedures
  • Support resourcing and recruitment processes
  • Assist with routine and ad hoc tasks

  

The roles report to the Senior Advisor, Knowledge Information and Engagement and Senior Advisor, Allocations and Executive Support.  

 

What we’re looking for

 

  • Proven experience delivering high-level, accurate administrative and clerical support, complemented by strong organisational abilities and a commitment to exceptional client service. 

 

  • We are looking for candidates with a solid understanding of government policies and procedures, and familiarity with the legal and regulatory framework relevant to legal operations or the ability to quickly develop this knowledge.
