  • Salary – $70,694 - $76,857 (pro rata for part time) + applicable penalty rates, super and annual leave loading

 

 

Your role

 

The roles in the Weekend Bail Court ongoing are part time (please indicate in your application what role/s you are interested in:

 

  • 3 days per week – permanent every Saturday, Sunday and Monday.  Applicable weekend and public holiday penalty rates apply.

 

  • 2 days per week – permanent every Saturday and Sunday.  Applicable weekend penalty and public holiday penalty rates apply.

 

As part of the NSW Government’s announced reforms to strengthen the Justice system and better protect victims of domestic and family violence, changes to the operations of Bail Courts across NSW will be implemented to ensure bail decisions required across weekends are made by Magistrates.

 

As a Client Services Officer, Weekend Bail Court you will support court operations by effectively engaging with a wide range of stakeholders, anticipate and address the needs of the judiciary.

 

The weekend bail court hearings are held virtually via audio visual link (AVL), you will have excellent technology skills to successfully provide court officer, court monitoring and data entry support.

The successful candidates will have the following characteristics:

 

  • Ability to quickly gain an understanding of the weekend bail court system and court procedures
  • Excellent decision making and communication skills
  • Be a team player who is able to work collaboratively and easily adapt to changing situations and environments
  • A professional demeanour
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • Proficient or ability to quickly learn the use of different types of technology
  • You have high ethical standards and ability to maintain confidentiality
