Salary – Grade 5/6 (93,295 – 102,941) + Super

 

 

This recruitment is to establish a statewide Community Engagement Officer talent pool to continuously draw upon over 18 months to fill vacancies as required.

 

 

Your role

 

Elevating tenant voice across all areas of Homes NSW work is vital work for a modern social landlord. The Community Engagement Officer will help make this a reality!

 

These roles are responsible for coordinating the development, implementation and evaluation of the tenant and stakeholder engagement component of projects to achieve project outcomes and support the achievement of organisational objectives.

  

 

What you’ll do

 

As part of the Homes NSW commitment to elevating tenant voice, you will implement the community based outcomes and take appropriate actions to consider community feedback into projects and decision making processes.

 

You will collaborate, communicate and deliver a variety of Community based tasks to support different types of projects with a variety of community based stakeholders.

 

You will engage positively and regularly with the community to identify local issues and impacts that are relevant to project tasks, with the aim of collecting, compiling and documenting feedback and impacts.

 

You will respond to community enquiries and complaints and prepare communications material to engage positively with the community.

 

You will proactively identify Community Engagement issues and risks and work with the relevant teams to develop and implement mitigations.

 

Participate in research, analysis, documentation and reporting on the community risk profiles of programs to protect business objectives and work with key stakeholders to enhance project outcomes.

 

 

What we’re looking for

 

Relevant qualifications and/or experience:

Qualifications in Marketing, Public Relations, Communications, Community Engagement, Community Development and/or demonstrated experience working with community in a property development or infrastructure environment.

 

Demonstrated ability to self manage:

Show drive and motivation, an ability to self-reflect, a commitment to learning and to achieving challenging goals

 

Effective communication skills

Communicate clearly, actively listen to others, and respond with understanding and respect; demonstrate ability to write and prepare material that is well structured and easy to follow and communicate routine technical information clearly.

 

Commitment to customer service excellence

Demonstrate experience and commitment in providing excellence in customer-focused services.
