Salary: Clerk Grade 9/10, $125,693 to $138,510 pa plus employer’s contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading

 

 

Your role

 

As a Manager, Security, you are responsible for leading a project delivery team, delivering security infrastructure projects and managing contracted security services across the organisation.

 

What you’ll do

 

As part of the Security team within Infrastructure and Assets, the role involves end-to-end project oversight of electronic and physical security assets, technical input during design and commissioning, stakeholder engagement, performance monitoring of service providers, and compliance with relevant standards. Day-to-day, the Manager will coordinate responses to security incidents, provide training, review technical documents, manage contractors, and lead their project team to ensure secure and fit-for-purpose solutions are implemented.

 

The Security team is a high-performing, solutions-focused team within DCJ's Corporate Services, Infrastructure and Assets branch. We are responsible for uplifting security capability across DCJ through infrastructure improvements, procedural enhancements, and risk-based planning. The team works collaboratively with stakeholders across the DCJ portfolio and values professionalism, adaptability, and a strong commitment to public safety. You’ll join a supportive, engaged environment where continuous improvement and innovation are encouraged.

 

What we’re looking for

 

Our ideal candidate has strong experience delivering physical and electronic security projects in complex or government environments. They are confident managing external contractors, reviewing and preparing technical documentation, and providing practical security advice to diverse stakeholders. You will require a strong knowledge of protective security policies (e.g., PSPF), project lifecycle management, and risk assessment methodologies. Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills are also essential. Tertiary qualifications in security, project management, or a related field are highly regarded.
