Workplace Transformation

 

 

Location: Any NSW  and WFH (hybrid working), a mixture of working from the local office and home

Employment type: Ongoing full time

Salary: Clerk Grade 9/10, $120,859 to $133,183 pa, plus employer’s contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading

Your role

 

Our Workplace Transformation team leads an ongoing program of work which will transform our offices across NSW Department of Communities and Justice to improve the experience and satisfaction of both staff and clients. Ensuring improved accessibility, inclusivity and equality in our workplaces and front-line service centres. This role is an integral part of our team, reporting to the Senior Manager, Workplace Experience.  In this role you will be responsible for key Workplace Experience deliverables and milestones which enable the successful implementation of our new projects. This may extend to relocation planning, logistics, procurement, contracts, records management, furniture recycling, site commissioning and decommissioning and compliance. An exception attention to detail, project planning and diligence for on time delivery of commitments will be essential to your success in this role. You will work as part of a multi-disciplinary project squad dedicated to the delivery of assigned projects/programs, and contribute to the continuous improvement and innovation in Workplace Experience for our clients.

 

You will develop and maintain workstream level project plans, including deliverables, key milestones, timelines, schedules, internal and external resources, project dashboards, etc

 

You will work with your team members to develop reports or communications materials to keep our stakeholders up to date with activity and collate relevant documentation and records.

These will include; workplace relocations, co-locations, refurbishments, and decommissioning. At times this also involves responding to urgent workplace initiatives following weather, safety or environmental events across NSW.

What we’re looking for

 

The successful candidate must demonstrate strong capabilities in:

 

  • Managing and overseeing all aspects of project planning, development, and implementation for a range of projects, including developing project plans, coordinating resources, managing budgets, meeting reporting requirements, and supporting project-related activities, to ensure project outcomes are achieved on time, on budget, to quality standards and within agreed scope in line with established agency project management methodologies.
  • Identifying opportunities and applying an innovative approach to problem solving, keeping a focus on evolving risks, and known issues, considering financial, safety and time impacts in recommendations you make for resolution.
  • Establishing and maintaining stakeholder relationships through effective communication, negotiation, and issues management to engage stakeholders and ensure project deliverables are met
  • Previous experience managing / developing people.
  • Undertaking research and formulating recommendations to support evidence-based project planning and decision making
  • Experience in project management, and office relocations, workplace services or facilities management in a commercial environment is required. Previous experience in Government is not essential.
