Employment type – Temporary full-time from September 2025 to 30 June 2026

Salary - $145,378.00 pa - $168,130.00 pa, plus employer's contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading

 

 

Your role

 

The Manager of Accessibility and UX leads a team of designers and accessibility specialists within the Digital Experience Unit. This team is responsible for ensuring that all websites and intranet products are inclusive, engaging, user-focused, and compliant with government standards.

 

What you’ll do

 

This position oversees all inclusive design initiatives, offers expert advice across the organisation, and leads the strategic direction for accessible digital communications. Daily responsibilities include managing workflows within an agile environment, conducting user research, and collaborating with various stakeholders.

 

The successful candidate will join an innovative team dedicated to enhancing accessibility and user experience across DCJ’s digital products. The team culture prioritises collaboration, inclusivity, and continuous improvement.

 

What we’re looking for

 

In addition to the essential requirements outlined in the role description, the ideal candidate will have extensive experience in digital accessibility and user experience (UX).

 

Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills are vital, alongside a genuine passion for inclusive digital design. Experience working within government is preferred, with in-depth knowledge of relevant legislation, standards, and design systems.
