- Clerk Grade: Level 9/10. Base salary $ 125,693 p.a. to $ 138,510 p.a. plus superannuation and annual leave loading.

The Legal and Professional Services division provides expert legal, taxation, financial planning, and genealogy services to customers across the entire agency.
About the role
The Manager, Financial Planning, is responsible for leading a team that provides financial planning advice and services to a diverse range of financially managed, trusts, and enduring powers of attorney clients. Adhering to professional standards, compliance, procedures, and legislative requirements is essential. The services provided are cost-effective and delivered within targeted timeframes. The Manager supervises 9 direct reports, offering direction, motivation, and the exchange of advice. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Financial Planning, this role involves advising and reporting on performance.

About you
You are a seasoned financial planning professional with tertiary qualifications in Financial Planning and active membership in a relevant professional body. Your expertise spans across financial planning, investments, personal insurance, government benefits, and child support, underpinned by a strong understanding of compliance frameworks and regulatory environments.
With a keen eye for detail and a sharp analytical mindset, you excel at solving complex problems and managing competing priorities under pressure. You bring a proven track record of negotiating effectively with financial institutions, benefit providers, statutory agencies, and other stakeholders on sensitive and multifaceted issues.
As a natural leader, you have significant experience in building and nurturing high-performing teams. You are passionate about coaching and mentoring, fostering technical excellence, and driving continuous improvement through clear performance management and resource planning.
