Manager, Infrastructure Support Services

 

 

Location: Parramatta (hybrid working), a mixture of working from office and home

Employment type: Ongoing Full time

Salary: Clerk Grade 9/10 ($120,859 - $133,183 pa), plus employer’s contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading

 

Your role

 

The role will collaborate with stakeholders to effectively manage the Infrastructure Support Services (ISS) Agreement, focusing on supplier relationships, stakeholder engagement, contract performance, and risk management. Day-to-day responsibilities include monitoring compliance with contract objectives and key performance indicators, addressing issues proactively, and ensuring alignment with the established framework and principles outlined in the agreement. This involves facilitating communication, resolving challenges, and driving continuous improvement to achieve contract goals.

 

The Infrastructure and Assets branch within Corporate Services fosters a collaborative and supportive environment where teamwork and innovation are highly valued. What you’ll do

 

As part of the Infrastructure Support Services team within Infrastructure and Assets, you will be responsible for but not limited to:

 

  • Maintain and manage frameworks, systems and solutions to improve the efficiency of the contract management function and enhance supplier relationships and deliverables.
  • Manage and maintain assurance processes to support the effective scoping, pricing, and delivery of services through the contract.
  • Support complex and sensitive negotiations for contract variations, contract renewals and claims/disputes to deliver better procurement outcomes and mitigate commercial risks in conjunction with DCJ legal advice.
  • Provide leadership and effective management of the contract with the Infrastructure Support Services team to deliver a high-quality contract management service to the organisation and stakeholders.
  • Provide sound advice to DCJ’s delivery and operational stakeholders on the formulation of scope for services delivered under the contract, as well as strategies to manage supplier performance and development, improve future contract outcomes and support effective contract management.
  • Establish and maintain stakeholder and supplier relationships to identify and minimise risk, resolve issues as they arise and maximise value from the contract.
  • Ensure that the contract’s governance and reporting requirements are aligned to DCJ and I&A, are managed and administered including currency of asset condition data which is integrated into the DCJ asset management system/s.
  • Develop skill using the contractor’s performance reporting tool and dashboards to inform contract improvements.

 

Essential requirements

Tertiary qualifications in a related discipline and/or equivalent knowledge, skills, and experience with demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development.

 

 

What we’re looking for

 

  • Extensive experience in contract and performance management with a preference for large-scale infrastructure environment.
  • Demonstrated capacity to lead contract negotiations and co-ordinate contract KPI reporting.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the NSW Procurement framework, procurement governance or best practice procurement policies.
  • Demonstrated problem solving and critical thinking skills with the ability to provide clear direction, and foster transparent communication with internal and external stakeholders
  • Experience managing a small team with strong contract management skills
