Salary: $110,266 - $122,058 per annum plus superannuation plus annual leave loading

About the Role

As a Procurement Officer, you’ll be at the heart of our procurement operations, ensuring projects are managed efficiently and effectively. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Providing expert procurement advice to support divisions in meeting their obligations.
  • Managing tender processes in line with policies and guidelines.
  • Leading procurement projects to ensure timely and budget-friendly delivery.
  • Building strong relationships with stakeholders to drive innovation and improvements.
  • Supporting emergency procurement processes for surge activities.
  • Preparing comprehensive reports, budgets, and discussion papers.
  • Coordinating working groups and consultations for effective program implementation.
  • Delivering projects within deadlines using robust project management methodologies.

About You
To excel in this role, you should have:

  • Experience in procurement, tendering, or contract management within a government or corporate setting.
  • A strong understanding of procurement policies and best practices.
  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to juggle multiple projects.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship-building skills.
  • The ability to provide clear and concise procurement advice.
  • High-level analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • A proactive, solutions-focused mindset with a commitment to continuous improvement.

 

Essential requirements: 

  • Tertiary qualification and/or relevant knowledge and experience.

About the Reconstruction Authority 
The NSW Reconstruction Authority (the Authority) is a statutory corporation within Planning, Housing, and Infrastructure. The Authority will improve how NSW plans for disasters and help communities to recover from them faster.
To reduce the severity and impacts of disasters, the Authority will complete critical planning and preparation with communities, NGOs, businesses, and government. When disaster does strike, we will get recovery started swiftly and coordinate reconstruction efforts across agencies, communities, and other stakeholders.
