Salary: Clerk Grade 7/8, $110,266 to $122,058 pa plus employer’s contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading

 

Your role

 

The Department of Communities and Justice is seeking enthusiastic, motivated and customer focussed individuals to join the team.

What you’ll do

 

As part of the Procurement team, you will be responsible but not limited to:

 

  • Manage and deliver procurement projects
  • Provide sound advice and support to the Procurement team and stakeholders across the Department on general procurement enquiries, individual procurement projects, category management, system, policy & governance.

 

You will be responsible for managing a number of competing priorities, while working collaboratively with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders. The role may require you to work with a number of systems such as our procurement and contract management system, travel and contingent workforce platform.

Overall, this results-oriented professional is dedicated to driving continuous improvement within procurement.

Understanding of NSW government procurement requirements, previous experience in procurement and with source to contract system is highly desirable.

  • Project and stakeholder management.
  • Ability to multitask, managing conflicting priorities and meet constant deadlines.
  • Ability to analyse, evaluate and be creative in solving complex problems
  • Strong written and verbal skills to communicate with vendors, senior management and other internal stakeholders.
  • Work effectively within a team environment
  • Relevant work experience in procurement or a related area to procurement such as project management, HR, finance, legal/risk, policy etc.
