Salary – Clerk Grade 11/12 $145,378 - $168,130pa plus superannuation and annual leave loading

 

Your role

 

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Program Manager to lead a dynamic team, driving the successful delivery of strategic programs that directly contribute to improved outcomes for service delivery, business processes, and information services. As Program Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing large-scale programs or a range of smaller programs that support key organizational objectives.

 

What you’ll do

 

As part of the Capital Maintenance Team, you will provide operational direction and leadership to establish and maintain a culture of teamwork, achievement, accountability and being outcome-focussed, and manage resources, budgets, assets and staffing to maximise achievement of goals and required levels of the team’s skill and performance.

 

You will lead a team in the design, development, management, and reporting of strategic programs, ensuring high-quality outcomes and alignment with client service delivery needs as well as oversee the implementation of programs, ensuring adherence to project management methodologies and processes for consistency and success.

 

You will lead the contracting and tendering process for programs, including preparing budget estimates and performance reporting and engage with stakeholders, including staff and service delivery partners, to identify emerging issues and develop programs that align with service delivery needs and desired outcomes.

 

You will apply expert knowledge of internal policies, regulations, and guidelines to ensure compliance, fairness, and best practices in contracting and service procurement and manage reporting activities and performance monitoring, ensuring both internal and external service delivery partners comply with program deliverables.

 

 

What we’re looking for

 

  • Proven experience in program management, including managing large-scale programs or multiple smaller programs.
  • Strong leadership and team management experience, with a focus on coaching, professional development, and resource alignment.
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, with experience in engaging with diverse teams and partners.
  • Deep understanding of project management methodologies and the ability to apply them effectively to achieve consistent high-quality outcomes.
  • Expertise in contracting, tendering, and service procurement, with a thorough understanding of relevant policies and regulations.
  • Ability to anticipate risks, develop solutions, and drive program success while managing competing priorities.
