About the role
Reporting to the Manager, Engagement in the Disaster Adaptation Planning & Engagement team, you’ll play a pivotal role coordinating key project governance, communication and stakeholder engagement activities undertaken by the team to support the implementation of the State Disaster Mitigation Plan (SDMP) and Disaster Adaptation Plans (DAPs).
Your responsibilities will encompass a diverse range of tasks to support disaster risk reduction, from managing mailboxes, governance for advisory and working groups, coordinating meetings and events, documenting actions/outcomes, creating engaging content for internal and external communications and project management support for engagement initiatives with internal and external stakeholders.
What we’re looking for

Foundational knowledge and experience in managing project meeting governance.

Proven experience in a project or coordination role, ideally within a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Outstanding organisational skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritise competing demands effectively.

Ability to adapt and respond quickly in changing situations.

Problem-solving abilities, coupled with a proactive and solutions-oriented mind-set and positive attitude.

The ability to effectively collaborate with internal and external stakeholders and coordinate working groups and support governance.
