The Compliance Program team oversees the delivery of various state-wide programs such as Property Assessment Survey (PAS), Detail Property Assessment Survey (DPAS), Fire Safety Program (FSP) and Change of Use (COU), alongside other compliance and quality assurance initiatives for these programs via IT systems.
The Project Manager is responsible for planning and overseeing projects/programs from inception to completion, ensuring alignment with program objectives. They collaborate with stakeholders to deliver projects on time, quality and within budget, utilising IT systems for planning, monitoring progress, and reporting to stakeholders, including risk dentification and mitigation to ensure successful project delivery. The role may require travel across the state including overnight stay where necessary.
What you’ll do
As the Project Manager, you will play a pivotal role in leading the design, briefing, resourcing, implementation, and coordination of projects/programs of work to deliver effective business outcomes and meet client service delivery needs.
You will establish approaches, systems, processes, and practices for project reports and documentation, ensuring clear communication of project progress to key stakeholders. Additionally, you'll lead research efforts and provide project-driven direction and support for auditing policies, plans, and procedures to contribute to enhanced practice and continuous improvement.
Managing and overseeing all aspects of projects and implementations, including developing and monitoring project plans, coordinating resources, cashflow, budgeting and ensuring quality assurance, will be essential to meet successful project milestones. Tender management in compliance with procurement policies and guidelines will also be a key responsibility, establishing contracts with external service providers to support project delivery.
Furthermore, you'll administer contracts to ensure fulfillment of contractual obligations and monitor project performance, implementing risk mitigation strategies in consultation with senior managers.
Additionally, you'll lead complaint resolution processes, conducting investigations, identifying root causes, proposing corrective actions, and drafting formal responses to complaints, including ministerial, in a timely and effective manner to ensure client satisfaction.
What we’re looking for
- Experience in managing staff, together with compliance experience or measurement of performance against standards.
- Demonstrated planning skills together with timetabling experience to meet performance targets.
- Project, financial, stakeholder and resource management experience.
- Qualifications in Engineering, Architectural, Building, Surveying, Project/Business management or related construction discipline.
