Location: Parramatta (hybrid Parramatta office and work from home)

Employment type: Ongoing Full-time

Salary: Clerk Grade 5/6, $99,938 to $110,271 pa, plus employer’s contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading

 

Your role

 

Be part of projects that make a difference! We’re looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Project Support Officer to help drive the successful delivery of initiatives that improve outcomes for our communities.

 

As part of the Programs & Partnerships Communities team, you’ll report to the Senior Program Manager and play a vital role in supporting the delivery of diverse projects across our portfolio. From research and analysis to reporting and implementation, you’ll help ensure our work is consistent, high-quality, and aligned with our project delivery framework.

What you’ll do

 

In this role, you’ll be the engine behind project success - supporting planning, coordination, and delivery across a varied portfolio. You’ll work closely with project teams to ensure milestones are met, risks are managed, and reporting is clear and insightful.

You’ll contribute to the development of project briefs, assist with procurement activities, and help maintain alignment with delivery frameworks, practices, and templates. You will also support governance activities, coordinate meetings, and prepare documentation that keeps everything running smoothly.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting assigned projects by monitoring plans, milestones, and deliverables to ensure time, cost, and quality indicators are met
  • Assisting the Senior Program Manager with portfolio-level analysis and reporting
  • Enhancing project support practices and processes across all projects
  • Helping project teams complete tasks and implement plans to achieve agreed outcomes
  • Undertaking research and analysis to support informed decision-making and planning
  • Communicating with stakeholders to provide updates on program status, implementation issues, and risks
  • Providing secretariat services, including coordinating governance meetings and preparing papers
  • Travelling across NSW to support on-site activities with clients as required

What we’re looking for

Our ideal candidate will have experience supporting project delivery, with a strong ability to work collaboratively across multiple projects and stakeholders. You’ll be confident in coordinating governance activities, preparing documentation, and contributing to reporting and analysis at both project and portfolio levels.

You’ll bring a proactive approach to problem-solving, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn and adapt within a structured project delivery framework. Experience in procurement support, stakeholder communication, and secretariat services will be highly regarded.

Some regional travel will be required to support project activities. A valid NSW drivers' licence is required.
