Property Officer (Construction and Inspection) – NSW Trustee and Guardian
- Ongoing full-time . 35 hours per week.
- Location: This role is based in Parramatta. Flexible and hybrid working options available. For a period of 3-6 months, you will be required to work 5 days per week in the Office for training purposes.
- Clerk Grade: 3/4 Base salary $82,193 pa to $90,001 p.a. plus super and annual leave loading.

About the team
The Property Services team works with the Estate Management and the Estate Planning and Administration Divisions.
The Estate Management Division makes financial and legal decisions for people who are unable to on their own, or with support, when NSW Trustee and Guardian is appointed as their financial manager by a court or tribunal. The division also oversees people who are appointed to privately manage the finances of another person.
The Estate Planning and Administration division is responsible for delivering NSW Trustee and Guardian’s commercial services in Will making, as trustee, attorney, and as administrator/executor of deceased estates as well as administration of Powers of Attorney, Life Estates and Crime Confiscation/Civil Forfeiture.
These divisions deliver high quality financial, estate management, executor and trustee administration services using a customer-centred approach.
About the role
This is an exciting opportunity that will see you sit within the Property Service Centre and report to the Principal Property Officer (Construction and Inspections). The Property Services team is collectively responsible for the delivery of high quality, consistent and timely services that are consistent with NSW Trustee and Guardian’s Customer Excellence Principles.
This role supports the Property Services team to deliver high quality services relating to customer-owned properties including property inspections, repairs, maintenance and administrative duties on behalf of NSW Trustee and Guardian customers. The position

About you
Applications are encouraged if you demonstrate the following skills, knowledge and experience:
- Has experience and is passionate about supporting people with disability, vulnerable or older people.
- Is an excellent communicator with the ability to work effectively with customers with a range of circumstances, including those experiencing homelessness, substance misuse, chronic mental illness and contact with the criminal justice system.
- Will thrive on taking a coordinated approach to customer property matters, working closely with customers, beneficiaries, stakeholders, colleagues and external service providers.
- Has strong collaboration skills that will allow you to build and develop working relationships and open channels of communications across all teams in the Estate Management division and Estate Planning and Administration division, other NSW Trustee and Guardian divisions and external stakeholders.
- May be required to travel to different locations within NSW.

Essential requirements
- Must demonstrate a sound understanding and proven experience in coordinating and managing high-volume work to oversee property repairs, maintenance and inspections.
- Capability to effectively manage external service providers related to property repairs, maintenance and inspections.
- Understanding of NSW Trustee and Guardian’s key services and customer base including experience working with and/or supporting people with disability, who are vulnerable or older people.
- Willingness to have phone calls and team email accounts monitored for quality assurance and training purposes, and to participate in one-to-one review sessions for calls and emails.
- All roles in NSWTG require a willingness to have phone calls monitored for quality and training purposes.
