Property Officer, Insurance & Vehicle Claims and Compliance - NSW Trustee and Guardian
- 2 x Temporary full-time positions up to 31 December 2025.
- 35 hours per week.
- Location: Parramatta. Flexible and hybrid working options available. Parramatta Office 5 days per week initially for training purposes.
- Clerk Grade: 3/4. Base salary $82,193 p.a. to $90,001 p.a. plus superannuation and annual leave loading.

Vehicle Claims and Compliance:
This is an exciting opportunity that will see you:
- Handling a range of duties relating to customer vehicles including sales, purchases, insurance, registration and CTP renewals.
- Accessing required systems and processes to support the management of customer properties and vehicle matters, and actively suggest improvements.
Insurance:
- The Property Officer is responsible for the set up and renewal of property insurances, property valuations and administrative duties relating to customer owned properties. The role has a good understanding of when to escalate more complex matters to the Principal Property Officer.
- Accessing required systems and processes to support the management of customer properties and actively suggest improvements.
These roles will challenge you to manage high-volume caseloads with competing demands and priorities, liaise with external service providers, and provide excellent customer service by attending to complex enquiries and assisting customers with limited capacity to unite in finding best solutions.

About you:
Application is encouraged if you demonstrate the following skills, knowledge and experience:
- Solution-focussed individual with thorough understanding of the processes involved in buying, selling, transferring, registering and insuring motor vehicles or obtaining and renewing home and contents insurance for customer owned properties.
- Experience with effectively managing external service providers related to vehicle purchases, sales, insurance, claims and compliance.
- Has experience and is passionate about supporting people with disability, vulnerable or older people.
- Is an excellent communicator with the ability to work effectively with customers with a range of circumstances, including those experiencing homelessness, substance misuse, chronic mental illness and contact with the criminal justice system.
- May be required to travel to different locations within NSW.

Essential requirements:
- Proven experience in coordinating and managing a high-volume of matters related to vehicle insurance, claims and compliances or managing home and contents insurance.
- Capacity to effectively manage external service providers related to vehicle insurance, claims and compliance and insurance.
- Understanding of NSW Trustee and Guardian’s key services and customer base including experience working and/or supporting people with disability, vulnerable or older people.
- Willingness to have phone calls and team email accounts monitored for quality assurance and training purposes, and to participate in one to one review sessions for calls and emails.
