Reporting and Analytics Developer

Clerk grade 9/10. Salary – $125,693 - $138,510 pa plus employer's contribution to superannuation, annual leave loading and environmental allowance.  

 

 

What you’ll do

 

The Department of Communities and Justice (DCJ) is seeking a highly skilled SAP BW Developer to join our Reporting & Analytics team within myWorkZone. In this role, you will deliver various innovative reporting solutions.

 

As a Reporting Analytics Developer you will be responsible to:

 

  • Analyse, review, and translate business needs into reusable solution components.

 

  • Apply the principle of “Secured by Design” to develop solutions that avoid single points of failure, meet high availability and disaster recovery needs, and comply with organisation security guidelines.

 

  • Liaise with business stakeholders to identify fit-for-purpose solutions and oversee implementation in partnership with implementation partners.

 

  • Drive innovation and change within the cluster by identifying and recommending improvements to processes, systems, and technology.

 

  • Work in tandem with enterprise teams and systems to integrate heterogeneous systems. Leverage organisational capabilities to deliver and support solutions in the long run.

 

  • Stay up to date with emerging technologies and how they can be used in DCJ to improve organisational capability and deliver better services to the NSW public.

 

What we’re looking for

 

  • Minimum 5 years of SAP BW experience with at least 2 full life cycles (implementation/production support).

 

  • 2 full life cycle implementation experiences in SAP BW4HANA or SAP BW on HANA.

 

  • Strong understanding of data warehousing principles and design strategies.

 

  • Provide required SAP BW4/HANA application build, test, and deployment expertise to support requirements.

 

  • End-to-end development experience in SAP BW4HANA modeling using ADSOs, composite providers, open ODS views, transformations, BW queries.

 

  • Experience with standard extractors, enhancements, and creating custom extractors.

 

  • Knowledge and experience in various enhancement types, such as user exits, BADIs, and enhancement spots.

 

  • Strong knowledge and experience in SAP Analysis for Office.

 

  • Strong hands-on experience in ABAP programming, SQL scripting/AMDPs/procedures.

 

  • Experience in handling BAU activities and project activities simultaneously.

 

  • Experience using CTS, export/import methodology for migrating changes.

 

In addition, you will also have the following skills:

 

  • Knowledge and experience in with SAP S/4 as source system, writing ABAP CDS views is a plus.
  • Knowledge of SAP Analytics Cloud with an ability to build user stories and insights.
  • Knowledge of SAP Datasphere and BW Bridge.
  • Can do attitude to large volume of transactional data and data at rest and designed/developed reporting and analytical solutions.
