Resource (Workforce) Manager

 

·       Location – Parramatta – Flexible working available

·       Employment type – Temporary full-time up to 12 months

·       Grade – Clerk Grade 9/10

·       Salary – $125,693 pa to $138,510 pa plus employer contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading (Note 3% increase to base salary from 1st July 2025 along with an additional 0.5% increase in superannuation).

 

 

Your role

 

Are you a strategic thinker, analytical, with proven stakeholder skills and attention to detail? Do you have a passion for optimising workforce efficiency? Working with a supportive team, you will be leading the planning, forecasting, and real-time management of our IT project workforce at the Department of Communities and Justice (DCJ). In this pivotal role, you’ll ensure we have the right people in the right place at the right time at optimal cost —maximising productivity while maintaining exceptional service levels.

 

What you’ll do

 

You’ll partner with Program Managers, Project Managers, Project Team Members, Support Teams, and senior leadership to align staffing strategies with business goals, using data-driven insights and understanding of the people request and demand requirements to enable project success, while driving and delivering continuous improvement.

 

What we’re looking for

 

As an integral leader across our project support teams, you'll:

·       Successfully manage resource capacity and demand by utilising DCJ’s Project Management tools along with your experience performing this or similar role.

·       With critical thinking and credibility, provide solutions to demand requirements plus expert advice on complex issues relating to workforce management.

·       Exceptional time management skills. Provide exceptional service and trusted partnerships with our project teams, support teams and stakeholders.

·       Utilise, develop and create effective reporting to improve the workforce management function, support our projects and inform senior leadership.

·       We are looking for a strong team-player that drives results. The successful candidate will undertake recruitment and talent pool activity as well as resource management administration as required by business priorities.
