  • Location – Parramatta/WFH hybrid, 2-3 days per week in the office (flexible working arrangements available)
  • Employment type – Ongoing - full-time position (35 hours), available for a February 2025 start.
  • Salary – Clerk Grade 5/6, Base Salary ($93,295 – $102,941), plus employer’s contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading

The Policy Reform & Legislation (PRL) branch is looking for a Senior Administration Officer who brings enthusiasm and drive to join the team.

 

The PRL branch sits within the Law Reform and Legal Services Division of the Department. The Branch contributes to the development of policy for the justice system and to delivering government reform priorities, including complex legislative reform projects.

 

The Senior Administration Officer role sits in the Business Operations Team within PRL. We’re a small, busy, but friendly team, working closely together on a variety of tasks, ranging from responding to enquiries for requests for assistance, and providing administrative support to our agency partners and phone and email interactions with our clients and stakeholders and everything in-between.

 

We are a high-volume, sometimes repetitive, customer focused work environment, where no two days are the same. We work closely together, with on-going support and personal development encouraged.

 

What you’ll do

 

In this role you will:

  • Coordinate all incoming and outgoing correspondence through a dedicated inbox and using MiniApp.
  • Provide services within agreed standards and timeframes
  • Manage a range of tasks on a daily basis and follow up outstanding tasks in a timely and efficient manner
  • Providing high-level customer service and responding to issues.
  • Supporting the team with administrative tasks, a general jack-of-all-trades,
  • Be able to work independently and as part of a team; and,
  • Be a team player, with a collaborative approach and a self-starter.

 

What we’re looking for

 

To work well in this role. You will have:

  • Demonstrated administration skills,
  • Attention to detail,
  • Strong computer skills
  • Good written and verbal communications skills
  • Experience in using MiniApp or a similar tool to manage the flow of work/formal approval process.
