Salary: $97,027 to $107,059 pa, plus employer’s contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading
Your role
The Senior Fleet Officer is responsible for coordinating the daily operations of the fleet team to ensure timely and high-quality service delivery across the organisation. This role involves allocating tasks, providing expert advice and support to staff and stakeholders, and managing vehicle accounts and records. The Senior Fleet Officer also prepares reports, briefings, and responses to information requests, and works closely with contractors, procurement staff, and other partners to support effective fleet service delivery and resource management.
What you’ll do
As part of the Major Program Delivery team within Infrastructure and Asset, this role is in the Specialist Operations of Infrastructure & Assets (I&A) Major Program Delivery. Specialist Operations is responsible for managing and delivering security infrastructure programs and support, workplace enhancements and operational technology, property, fleet and insurance administration, change management, and operations resource management.
Our purpose at I&A is to manage DCJ’s infrastructure and assets efficiently and sustainably through performance-driven, customer-oriented services, which enable and enhance service delivery outcomes.
In essence we ensure DCJ has safe, working, and appropriate spaces to provide services to our community.
Our focus, however, is not just limited to managing infrastructure and assets. We are in a unique position to drive change and innovation across DCJ and help create meaningful social and economic outcomes for the community.
What we’re looking for
The ideal candidate for the Senior Fleet Officer role will have proven experience in the day to day coordination and delivery of fleet programs, with strong organisational and problem-solving skills. They will be adept at managing competing priorities, providing high level customer service and advice, and ensuring effective resource allocation. Success in this role requires sound knowledge of fleet operations, excellent stakeholder engagement skills, and the ability to prepare reports and briefings. Strong communication, attention to detail, and experience in working within tight timeframes and budget constraints are also key to effectively supporting service delivery and program outcomes.
