What you’ll do

As part of the Information Analysis team, you will work with stakeholders including business users, reporting teams, researchers and other technical experts within Information Management to specify business requirements and to design and implement reporting solutions which align with business needs.

During this process, you will query and analyse source system data with respect to the business context and develop counting rules to convert the data into usable information.

You will ensure the solutions are designed strategically, taking into account future reporting needs, maintenance costs and existing information tools.

As part of your role, you will also:

  • Analyse source system changes with respect to their impact on existing and future reporting,
  • Develop support material and provide plain language advice in response to support queries,
  • Develop training material and conduct user training,
  • Conduct peer reviews, asking insightful questions in order to reveal gaps and highlight strengths, and

You will join a team of seven Information Analysts, who work closely with other analysts and developers within the data warehousing and information management space. We enjoy a hybrid environment, with most of our time spent working from home. Currently, we come together in the Parramatta office on at least one specified day each fortnight, however, this may increase in future.

What we’re looking for

Extensive experience in business intelligence and data warehousing:

  • specifying complex requirements using a variety of techniques including workshops, wireframes, business process mapping, etc.,
  • working with various testing methodologies within the information management context, and
  • collaborating with developers, utilising their expertise to arrive at the best solution to support user requirements.
  • Experience using Google Cloud Platform, Tableau and/or other modern analytical tools.
