     Senior Procurement Advisor – NSW Trustee and Guardian

 

  • Ongoing full-time vacancy. 35 hours per week.
  • Location: Parramatta and Sydney CBD. Flexible and hybrid working options available.
  • Clerk Grade: 9/10 Level. Base salary $125,693 p.a. to $138,510 p.a. plus superannuation and annual leave loading.

The Financial Performance and Investments division provides a full range of financial services including budgeting, procurement, customer accounts and investment management services.

 

About the role

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Procurement Advisor to join our team. In this role, that covers both Government and Customer procurement, you will:

  • Engage and advise key stakeholders on policies, procedures, systems, and standards to enable effective, outcomes-focused procurement activities across the organisation.
  • Partner with key business stakeholders to develop innovative procurement and category management strategies that meet specific business needs, manage risk, and deliver value for money.
  • Research, develop, implement, and review organizational procurement policies, procedures, systems, and standards to support business procurement needs, identify and mitigate procurement risks, and ensure compliance with all legislative and regulatory requirements.
  • Advise on appropriate procurement governance and performance management mechanisms to monitor, coordinate, and improve procurement activity and performance.
  • Research, develop, and implement procurement capability development initiatives to support effective procurement outcomes across the organization.
  • Proactively identify and address procurement risks and develop mitigation strategies to meet organizational compliance requirements.

About you

Application is encouraged if you demonstrate the following skills, knowledge and experience:

  • Several years demonstrated experience in sourcing and contract management – Private sector, Not for Profit or Government experience acceptable
  • Demonstrated knowledge of legislative and policy compliance relating to Government procurement
  • Exceptional stakeholder engagement skills
  • Demonstrated capacity to be proactive in identifying and addressing procurement risks and developing mitigation strategies to meet organisational compliance requirements
  • Demonstrated understanding of appropriate procurement governance and performance management mechanisms to monitor, coordinate, and improve procurement activity and performance.

Essential requirements  

Tertiary qualifications and/or equivalent knowledge, skills and experience in a relevant discipline or industry
