  • Salary from $125,693 to $138,510 pa. + super and annual leave loading

Your role

 

We’re looking for a Senior Procurement Officer to support the vital work of Homes NSW, delivering safe, secure housing and better outcomes for people across NSW.

 

As the Senior Procurement Officer for Goods and Services you will partner with stakeholders to plan, develop, source and manage procurement arrangements to deliver value for money and effectively meet business outcomes and government directions.

 

What you’ll do

 

  • Undertake business needs assessment, supply market analysis and commercial risk assessments to inform procurement planning and sourcing decisions
  • Lead end-to-end sourcing activities to establish supply arrangements that meet organisational goals
  • Manage contracts, negotiate changes, monitor supplier performance, and ensure compliance to drive service excellence
  • Lead contract negotiations to secure value for money and support business objectives
  • Provide expert advice and build procurement capability across the organisation, promoting best practice and strong governance
  • Identify and manage procurement risks to safeguard operations and maximise opportunities
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation to ensure transparency and audit readiness

 

What we’re looking for

 

  • Demonstrated in-depth knowledge and recent experience in procurement in NSW Government setting.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing strategic and high-volume procurements and having a deep understanding of the NSW Government Procurement Policy Framework.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to influence and support decision-making across diverse business units.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage contracts, supplier relationships, and procurement risk to ensure high-quality outcomes.
  • Strong analytical, planning and organisational skills, with a focus on achieving value for money.
