  • Clerk Grade 9/10, salary $125,693 - $138,510 per annum plus employer’s contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading.

We are looking for a dedicated Senior Project Officer to work closely with our six Regional Delivery teams to drive and track a range of complex projects that enhance disaster recovery and preparedness outcomes across NSW. 

 

About the role
As the Senior Project Officer you will play a pivotal role in the development, implementation, analysis and reporting of key projects to drive and support community-centred recovery and preparedness and effective collaboration across all levels of government, business and community,in NSW. 

 

With a key focus of this role being on project monitoring, evaluation and reporting, the role will be responsible for the collation and analysis of diverse data from across a range of project themes and contexts. This will involve generating data insights through dashboards and reporting systems. 
Key responsibilities include:

  • Manage and coordinate the planning, development and implementation of complex projects supporting community-centred recovery and preparedness initiatives.
  • Lead data collection, analysis, and reporting to track and understand the performance and impact of projects against milestones.
  • Produce dashboards and reports to communicate insights, foster shared understanding of data and support decision-making. And adapt reporting outputs for multiple audiences, uses and formats (including Regional Delivery teams and leadership, agency executives, standing committees, governance bodies).
  • Conduct research and analysis to inform project planning methodologies and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Facilitate a comprehensive approach to project development by advising on key considerations, including: resourcing budgeting, quality and compliance, risk and issues management.
  • Build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships and facilitate effective communication with and between partners.

About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Demonstrated experience coordinating project planning, development and implementation.
  • Demonstrated research and analysis skills.
  • Ability to extract meaningful insights and interpret results into clear and concise reports.
  • Ability to conduct analysis and identify trends or opportunity for improvement.
  • Experience in producing informative dashboards to communicate findings and support recommendations.
  • The ability to effectively collaborate with internal stakeholders as well as coordinate and support project governance groups.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to adapt communication to audience type.
  • The ability to adapt and balance competing priorities in dynamic situations.

 
Essential requirements: 

  • Tertiary qualifications or equivalent experience in a relevant field.
  • An ability and willingness to travel within NSW and support other operational roles during disasters, emergencies and other events (consistent with skills, background and personal circumstances). 
  • Current unrestricted NSW drivers’ licence.

About the Agency
The NSW Reconstruction Authority (the Authority) is a statutory corporation within Planning, Housing and Infrastructure. The Authority will improve how NSW plans for disasters and help communities to recover from them faster.
