- Location: Parramatta | Southern & Western NSW | Housing Services
- Employment type: 21 HR’s per Week Temporary Part Time with possibility of extension, Talent Pool will also be created for the district
- Salary – 9/10, Salary ($129,464 – 142,655) pa, plus employer’s contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading
Housing Services leads the development of operational policy, processes, procedures and system solutions for front line social housing staff across the access space and Department of Communities and Justice (DCJ) housing staff in the tenancy space.
We work closely with DCJ Districts, as well as our corporate partners in Strategy, Policy and Commissioning to develop policy and practice for the mutual benefit of our clients and housing staff.
What you’ll do
The primary role of a Senior Project Officer within Housing Statewide Services varies but includes:
- Managing and undertaking research and policy development and
providing evidence-based policy analysis and advice to develop high quality social housing policy, which drives reform, provides and directly contributes to better outcomes for individuals, families, groups and communities.
- Managing large projects that concern amendments to operational policy; and operationalisation of overarching policy frameworks.
- Developing and implementing changes to the HOMES system to enable effective policy implementation.
- Developing operational tools and resources for frontline staff.
- Developing and delivering training to frontline staff.
- Working with stakeholders inside and outside of the organisation.
- Being flexible and adaptable to changing priorities.
- Providing rapid advice on operational policies.
What we’re looking for
- Tertiary qualifications and/or equivalent knowledge, skills and experience with demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development
- Detailed knowledge of social housing and DCJ Housing tenancy policies and demonstrated experience in implementing these policies
- Detailed knowledge of Rent Choice policies and products
- Excellent oral communication, written communication and interpersonal skills
- Detailed knowledge of DCJ IT systems, particularly HOMES and OneTRIM
- Expertise in the use of Microsoft Office suite
- Demonstrated ability to manage, prioritise and deliver within a high volume environment.
- Proven ability to monitor policy and system compliance
- Proven ability to manage testing of system applications used in client service delivery
- Proven ability to work in collaboration with key stakeholders
- Excellent communication, negotiation and influencing skills
