  • Location – Parramatta
  • Employment type: Temporary full-time for 12 months with the possibility of extension.
  • Grade: Grade 11/12
  • Salary: $139,787 pa - $161,663 pa plus employer contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading

 

Your role

 

The Solution Architect will provide a critical role in supporting the technology uplift at Multicultural NSW by assessing business requirements, proposing technical solutions, and developing detailed implementation plans for technical projects in alignment with the broader enterprise architecture. A primary focus of this role will be leading the digital transformation of systems integration with key platforms, ensuring the delivery of scalable solutions that improve operational efficiency and enhance the user experience.

 

 

What you’ll do

 

As part of the Project Management team, you will create a project roadmap and, as a key member of a small team, will guide the direction of technology initiatives to support the delivery of Language Services to the NSW community.

 

  • The Solution Architect will define technical direction and aligning business goals with technical specifications.
  • You will identify and evaluate solutions, participate in procurement activities, support teams in implementing and maintaining solutions, collaborate with government stakeholders to ensure alignment with business objectives, and present designs to key stakeholders, including vendors.
  • The role involves bridging communication between technical and non-technical teams, advising senior stakeholders on technical options, and documenting solution architectures across various domains.
  • The Solution Architect will also ensure enterprise architecture standards are upheld, take ownership of design artefacts throughout the project lifecycle, and contribute to digital and organisational strategy by leveraging industry insights.

 

You will be part of the Project Management team, a small, high-performing and collaborative team, within the People and Corporate Division.

 

What we’re looking for

 

  • Tertiary qualifications and/or demonstrated equivalent industry/professional experience at a senior level, with demonstrated commitment to ongoing.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a solutions architecture role or similar.
  • Experience in Solution Architecture across Waterfall and Agile environments, with adaptability to various project methodologies.
