Location: 6PSQ – 10 Darcy Street, Parramatta NSW - with state-wide travel involved.
Employment type: Talent Pool creation
Salary: $110,265.00 pa - $122,057 pa + 50% Environmental Allowance + Superannuation + Annual Leave Loading.
Your role:
Corrective Services NSW is offering an exciting opportunity for a passionate and driven team player to join the Work Readiness team, this role plays a vital role in facilitating employment pathways for offenders nearing the end of their custodial sentence.
As an Offender Employment Officer, you will play a key role in preparing individuals for the workforce and securing appropriate work release placements that support their successful reintegration into the community. This position involves building strong partnerships with employers, overcoming barriers such as stigma and prejudice, and aligning employment opportunities with training undertaken in custody.

Essential Requirements:
- A current NSW Driver’s Licence and a willingness to travel across NSW as required.
- Experience working directly with inmates or within the employment services industry, with a strong understanding of the challenges and opportunities in these environments.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and take initiative. This role requires a high level of autonomy, including the capacity to develop plans and proactively complete tasks without close supervision.
- Strong planning and prioritisation skills, with the ability to distinguish between urgent, important, and non-essential tasks to manage workload effectively.
- A collaborative mindset and team-oriented approach. The successful candidate will contribute to a supportive team culture and be willing to assist colleagues during peak periods or when additional help is needed.

About Us:
Corrective Services NSW (CSNSW) delivers professional Correctional Services and Programs to reduce the risk of re-offending and enhance public safety. It serves a key function of the NSW Justice sector by providing effective, safe and humane management of offenders both in custody and in the community. CSNSW also works in partnership with other government and community agencies to ensure that offenders and their families are supported.
