Salary – Clerk Grade 9/10, Salary $125,693 - $138,510, plus employer’s contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading.

 

Your role

 

The Senior Project Officer manages, designs and implements a range of projects, in line with the directorate’s responsibilities, which improve Housing Services delivery or operations and contribute to better outcomes for individuals, families, groups and communities.

As part of the Housing Statewide Services Team, your role will vary but includes:

  • Design, implement, and coordinate projects that achieve business goals and meet client needs, using project management tools to deliver consistent, high-quality results.
  • Manage all aspects of projects, including planning, resource coordination, and budget monitoring, to meet deadlines and key milestones.
  • Prepare project documents like reports, budgets, and updates to keep stakeholders informed and ensure smooth information flow.
  • Provide proactive, evidence-based advice to leaders to support current operations and future decisions.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to align project plans with service design, program development, and policy implementation.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders through open communication and regular feedback to ensure successful project outcomes.

 

 

What we’re looking for

 

  • Strong ability to manage negotiations with diverse stakeholders, balancing varying expectations, viewpoints, and interests within agreed timelines.
  • Proven experience working effectively with Aboriginal Communities and Community Partners, with a strong understanding of the cultural, social, and historical factors impacting Aboriginal people.
  • Experience and understanding of working with Aboriginal people to support meaningful engagement and collaboration.
  • Advanced to intermediate skills in Microsoft Office Suite, including MS Project, MS Excel, and MS PowerPoint.
  • Demonstrated experience using systems and software such as HOMES and ability to run reports and analyse data extracted from the system.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver complex projects on time and to a high standard.
  • Capacity to support project team members in completing tasks effectively and successfully implementing project plans.
