- Clerk Grade 9/10 Salary ($120,859 - $133,183) plus employer’s contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading

We're seeking 2 dedicated and skilled Team Leader - Assessment & Appeals, Community Grants to lead the Assessments & Appeals functions within our Community Grants team, ensuring compliance, governance, and excellence in grants administration.
About the Role
As the Team Leader – Assessments & Appeals, Community Grants, you will:
- Oversee the administration of community recovery grants programs, ensuring compliance with program guidelines, governance standards, and the NSW Grants Administration Guide.
- Monitor grant program budgets and targets to ensure funds are used effectively and appropriately.
- Develop and implement governance frameworks, risk management strategies, and performance measures to support effective project delivery.
- Provide specialist advice and guidance to senior management on governance, compliance, and risk issues.
- Plan, develop, and deliver activities to promote and administer grants programs.
- Prepare accurate and timely briefings and correspondence on sensitive program issues for senior management.
- Establish and maintain effective relationships with other Government agencies to ensure integrated program design and delivery.
- Lead and mentor a team, fostering professional development and collaboration.

About You
To excel in this role, you will have:
- Demonstrated knowledge of the legislative requirements for grants administration in NSW, including the NSW Grants Administration Guide, Public Finance and Audit Act, and Record Management obligations.
- Experience in applying governance, compliance, and risk frameworks to grants programs.
- Strong budget management skills and the ability to monitor financial performance against targets.
- Excellent communication skills, with experience preparing high-quality briefings and providing expert advice.
- Proven ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Leadership experience, with a focus on guiding and developing team members to achieve their potential.
Essential requirements:
- Tertiary qualifications in a related discipline and/or equivalent experience.
- An ability and willingness to travel within NSW and support other operational roles during disasters, emergencies and other events, consistent with skills, background and personal circumstances.

About the Agency
The NSW Reconstruction Authority (the Authority) is a statutory corporation within Planning, Housing and Infrastructure. The Authority will improve how NSW plans for disasters and help communities to recover from them faster.
To reduce the severity and impacts of disasters, the Authority will complete critical planning and preparation with communities, NGOs, businesses, and government.
