Your role

 

The Corrections Intelligence Group (CIG) provides high level intelligence support to Corrective Services NSW (CSNSW) stakeholders and various law enforcement agencies. Intelligence products disseminated by the CIG assist with decision making processes around the management of offenders in custody and under community corrections supervision. 

 

The Intelligence Support Officer undertakes a range of intelligence based administrative / clerical services to support stakeholders involved in the management of offenders in custody and under community corrections supervision.

 

What we’re looking for

 

Applicants for this role are required to have a basic understanding of the role of intelligence in the correctional environment (or equivalent), a strong customer focus with good interpersonal skills, a capacity to interpret information and complete data entry and report development in computerised systems.

 

Note – Applicants are also advised that due to the nature of the work that the CIG undertakes, employees may be exposed to violent, graphic and sexually explicit material as part of their duties.

 

Essential Requirements

 

  • To meet satisfactory probity and National Security Information Clearances, the successful applicant will be required to be an Australian Citizen and obtain National Security Clearance to ‘Secret’ level within 6 months of ongoing employment.

  • Current Drivers Licence with ability and willingness to drive throughout NSW.
