Your role

Do you have a passion for customer service and would like to use your trade/building/construction industry knowledge to help make a positive difference in our NSW social housing maintenance delivery?

Homes NSW is an Agency of the Department of Communities and Justice (DCJ). Our vision is for NSW to be a place where everyone has access to safe and secure housing, and where experiences of homelessness are rare, brief, and non-recurring.

We lead work to deliver more quality social housing to our 262,000 tenants across NSW, empowering our tenants to live fulfilling lives and achieve their potential in inclusive communities with a focus on breaking, rather than managing disadvantage.

We strive for excellence in service delivery and most importantly, Homes NSW puts people at the heart – including our staff. Working for us means you are joining a team where your expertise and skills will be valued.

The Maintenance Hub is responsible for handling day-to-day escalations and complex matters and integrating with staff across the Maintenance Hub Response Centre. This can include key communication to resolve client issues, contractor queries and workflow, conducting regular performance reviews, and managing de-escalations across the Responsive works landscape.

The Maintenance Hub Response Centre operates 24/7, 365 days a year to provide responsive maintenance solutions to social housing properties in NSW, utilising various channels such as telephone, email, and online platforms to cater to our clients’ needs effectively.

What you’ll do

As an Asset Performance Supervisor in the Maintenance Hub, you will lead and oversee the activities of Asset Performance Officers, ensuring the optimal functioning and maintenance of our residential public housing property portfolio.

Your role will be multifaceted, encompassing both leadership and strategic oversight to ensure the highest standards of maintenance excellence are upheld.

Your primary responsibility will be to provide guidance, support, and direction to Asset Performance Officers, leveraging your expertise in maintenance management to ensure that maintenance-related challenges are addressed promptly and effectively. You will serve as a mentor and resource, helping your team navigate complex issues and deliver optimal outcomes.

In addition to managing the day-to-day activities of Asset Performance Officers, you will play a pivotal role in driving continuous improvement initiatives within the Maintenance Hub. By staying abreast of industry best practices, regulations, and emerging trends, you will identify opportunities to enhance processes and optimize maintenance workflows.

Collaboration will be essential in this role, as you will work closely with other team members and stakeholders to coordinate resources, prioritise tasks, and ensure alignment with organizational objectives. Your leadership and strategic vision will be instrumental in driving the success of our maintenance operations and ensuring the smooth functioning of our facilities and properties.

Overall, as the Asset Performance Supervisor, you will have a direct impact on the efficiency and effectiveness of our maintenance efforts. If you are passionate about leadership, maintenance excellence, and making a meaningful impact in a dynamic environment, we invite you to join our team and contribute to our mission of providing exceptional support to tenants.
